The licence

Open, and being finalized.

The kit is open by belief and by practice. The licence split below is the intended one, pending the founder's confirmation, and it is logged in DECISIONS.md. No licence is published until he confirms it. None of it carries a non-commercial clause, because that would block open hardware certification, which is a goal.

Hardware: CERN-OHL-S-2.0

The strongly reciprocal open hardware licence: whoever improves the design shares the improvement back. Status: recommended, pending founder confirmation.

Firmware: GPL-3.0-or-later

The reciprocal software licence, applied when the firmware moves from specified to written. Status: recommended, pending founder confirmation.

Documentation: CC BY-SA 4.0

Share and adapt the manuals and the record, with credit, under the same terms. Status: recommended, pending founder confirmation.

The full source repository opens with the confirmed licence. Until then, every design fact is published on these pages, and the record index lists all nineteen files.
