The people behind the kit
These are the people who made the Third Eye Kit possible. Some gave money. Some gave hours in the testing room, wearing a belt that buzzed at them until the language made sense. Some built kits from our open files and handed them on. We list everyone who wants to be listed, in their own words, and we never show amounts. Thank you.
The wall
The wall is young. Names appear here as supporters give their consent, in the order they arrive, starting with the founding supporters: everyone who gives before launch will be listed first, labeled "Here from the beginning."
Gave, tested, built, or translated, and want to be listed? Tell us the name to show.
Dedicated kits
A donor whose gift covers one kit's parts may dedicate that kit, a build, a workshop, or a test round. The dedication is shown as "This kit was made possible by" plus the chosen name, and it may travel with the kit as a small braille and print card if the recipient agrees. It never appears on the wearable, never renames the Third Eye Kit, and never carries a logo. Recipients are never named without consent; a general place description is enough.
Patron tiers, recognition as visibility only
- Founding Patrons
- Capped at ten: name and photo on this page, and their dedication card travels with one of the first ten second generation kits.
- At twenty five thousand
- A year of paid participation by blind testers carries their name.
- At one hundred thousand
- The second generation edition carries their chosen name, as in "Third Eye Kit gen 2, the [their name] edition," subject to approval by Third Eye Worldwide. The project name stays the Third Eye Kit forever.
Recognition is an honor, not influence; the manual stays free and the roadmap stays ours.
Third Eye Worldwide is a nonprofit. We do not sell the Third Eye Kit, we do not sell names, and we do not advertise for anyone. Recognition here is a thank-you, never a purchase. A gift of any size is welcome, and every supporter is thanked the same way.
